The September list is here, and it’s the easy kind. Nothing on it takes more than an afternoon, and half of it takes ten minutes. This is the month to reverse the ceiling fans, reset the thermostat, wash the actual pillows for once, and finally deal with the junk drawer. Then go buy yourself flowers at the farmers market…because you can! Screenshot the last slide, and knock out one or two things this weekend. Your October self will thank you. Ten years ago, Peg and Tom became my very first buyer clients. Together we found this house back in 2016 — not as a place for them to live, but as an investment meant to help their son, daughter-in-law, and three grandkids get their feet back on the ground during a hard season. A lot has happened in the years since. Some of it good, some of it genuinely difficult. Through all of it, this house did exactly what it was meant to do. And this week, Peg and Tom were ready to pass it on to its next owner. Closing day was one of those rare ones where buyer and seller just click. The new owner was sweet, excited, and so grateful for how well this home had been cared for — and it showed. Ten years after my very first closing, this one felt like it closed a circle of its own.
